For those who want to enjoy camping and being outdoors, but do not want to run the risk of running into some lions, and tigers, and bears; a great alternative camping location for them to go to would be the beach.

Camping Over Night
For those who want to spend the night on the beach, they should make some preparations ahead of time. Falling asleep on the beach sands only to wake up the next morning with a harsh sunburn is not the best plan. Instead, get a beach tent. Those pop up beach tents start as low as $19. This offers some shelter and protection for those who want to sleep on the beach.
Those who want to have the best beach camping experience should make the proper preparations ahead of time. This way, they would have the most memorable and enjoyable experience during their camping trip on the beach.

I love to camp. And I really really love to be able to swim when I’m camping. Especially in the summer, I just love a dip when I’m out in the woods. People have different objectives when they go camping But, for me, a dip in the water is more refreshing than the most amazing shower you could ever take. So, I say, no matter what the temperature is out there, you need to really consider how wonder that water would feel over your body. Even if you don’t I’m sure you will enjoy your camping experience. You’re in the woods. That’s pretty good!

Remember your first tent? Are your children into tents now? Sure, the tent may only be in the living room. But it is really cool to watch the interest in the little ones develop. I think this is something you should really encourage. Think back to all the great camping experiences you have in your life. Now think about all of those great things that lie ahead for your kids. Why not push camping on your kids when they are very young. So, I’ll get off my soap box and back on point. The earlier you introduce your kids to camping the more likely that they will stick with the hobby.

When I bought my first tent, my mom told my I was crazy; I told her to think of it as a folding hotel room. It was an awfully small hotel room, just a 6×6 wall tent (I think they were 6? walls, it was just above getting a pup tent.) My friends and I went all over the place with that little tent…an Emmy Lou Harris concert in New York, a beach trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and the wilds of Bethany, WV, where we nearly got trampled by a herd of deer. It slept three, if you were good friends and didn’t mind using your packs as pillows. It was actually comfortable for two. Discount shopping sites

Even though my husband’s family had a pop-up camper when he was a kid, we really didn’t get into the entire camper thing. Instead, we added time periods and added canvas tents suitable for the Revolutionary and Civil War periods. Non-historic camping now generally involved a cabin, and with a little shopping around or a check of state park sites, there were still deals to be found. Pennsylvania state parks generally open their campgrounds from March through late December and the state Website offers a wealth of information about the facilities, the park features and the surrounding area. You can find everything from rustic sites accessible only by foot to lodges that will sleep up to 14 people at the state parks.

If you’re into camping, you don’t think about this much. Is your view of camping the same as the next guy? I’m sure there is a ton of variation. Today, this thought got stuck in my mind. For example, some people think of camping as packing up a car and going to a camp ground. Others view camping as an activity where they are not near anyone else for miles and miles. Little kids might think of camping as going in the back yard with a tent. Are each of these wrong? I think they are all cool. The bottom line is that they get you outside. If you are interested, go to Caming Wiki I’m sure you will find a ton of interesting things here along with a bunch of definitions.

For sure, these are the types of things you really need in your life. So anyway, I don’t have that much to say today except that, yes, I’m ready to be back in the woods again. Click here.

We went on a family camping trip in CA in the woods and mountains.

I was bound and determined that I would not miss this trip. My husband had been working 7 days a week for 3 months and was little to no help.
I got on the Internet and visited as many camping sights as I could find (love your sight! It was extremely helpful!) I printed out checklists, combined a few and came up with one good one. Now that I had some idea what was necessary, I started to shop. Sears had a closeout on last years model of tents. Understanding the sizes a little better after a lot of research I picked a nice two room tent.
A month or so before the trip my son and I put the tent up in the back yard. I let him invite a friend or two and they would sleep out. Sunday afternoon we would take the tent down. The following weekend they would sleep out again and on Sunday we would take it back down. My neighbors thought I was such a great mom, letting my son have a sleep over every weekend. Little did they know I was just practicing so that we would not look like idiots in front of the Boy Scouts.
You can’t just buy any old tent. It needs to be a good one.
He showered and changed and we drove for 4 hours to the camp sight.
I set up everything, the tent, the dining canopy with camping kitchen. I had everything organized. Then the other campers started to arrive. They teased me a bit. Said it looked like the Hilton of camps. Although, every time someone forgot something they would say Go over to the Hotel Fitzroy. They probably have it! Even though I might have gone a little over board, I had a really great time! I could cook and wash up easily!
So my first experience was a good one. I am really looking forward to our next outing! In a few weeks we are headed into the mountains of Pennsylvania for a long weekend. Thanks for all of your great advice!

The camping world holds limitless fun. Enjoying the benefits of the great outdoors is the main attraction of the camping world. A few of the possibilities to partake in while camping include swimming and hiking, as well as some rest and relaxation. The camping world holds many joys. However, being prepared not only for the activities you plan on, but also those you would rather avoid, can make the trip run more smoothly.
The first thing that you will need for camping is a tent, or some sort of shelter in which to stay dry. A tent or other shelter will help protect you against the elements. The conditions in the camping world can range from bright and sunny to torrential downpours in a matter of minutes! In cases of extreme heat, a strategically placed tent could shield you from the sun. In keeping dry during rainstorms, a sturdy rain fly over the roof of your tent can go a long way. The floor will stay dry, too, if you spread a tarp beneath your tent. If you have an ample budget, investing in a pop up camper can be a great alternative for shelter. There are many different kinds of shelter that can be purchased for use in the camping world.
One of the best parts of camping can be sleeping under the stars and feeling the cool breeze blow gently through your tent windows. To make sleeping even more comfortable, it is wise to invest in sleeping bags and padding. There are many different styles of sleeping bags, depending on your needs. Conventional sleeping bags that zip up around your chest are one option. Mummy style sleeping bags are another option, and they can zip up and around your head. Both kinds come in many different colors, materials, as well as a wide range of temperature suitabilities. It is good to have mats or padding for beneath your sleeping bag, too. Depending on your comfort needs, padding is available from blow up mattresses to foam egg crates. With the right gear, you will be comfortable and warm at night.
There are a wide array of possibilities for outdoor activities, as well. Hiking is a sport that many enjoy in the camping world. Terrain and distance vary with the difficulty level of hiking trails. Even on beginner trails, it is best to be prepared. Bottled water is an important provision to bring. Hiking is one of the many forms of exercise in which it is crucial to stay hydrated. Hiking boots are another item that make the trek easier. These come in many different colors and materials, depending on your needs and budget. It is a wise choice to bring some sort of compass or global positioning system device with you on a hike, in case you get lost. You may even want to bring a light snack such as trail mix for longer treks. Hiking should be comfortable and safe with these provisions.
Dry matches, cooking gear and firewood are also important items to have while camping. Years of camping can be enjoyed with the right durable gear. Endless wonderful memories of camping can be yours if you follow these tips!
